US urged to help over climate change

China wants US help rather than complaints on climate change and may find a receptive audience as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton prepares to visit Beijing.

China's ambassador Zhou Wenzhong said China has not been stinting in the global warming fight, pointing to Beijing's efforts to increase efficiency and use of renewable energy.

But the United States should offer its ''advanced technologies and rich experience in energy efficiency and clean energy,'' Zhou said.

''Cooperation on energy and environmental issues will enable China to respond to energy and climate change issues more effectively while at the same time offering enormous business opportunities and considerable returns to American investors.''
